Here are some of the guidelines that we need to follow on entry to Uganda. Visa requirements, covid tests requirement and other important matters.

Here are few questions and answers/guidelines. Incase you dont see what you are looking for, please get in touch with use using the form bellow.
All visa prone nationalities must obtain Uganda visas to facilitate their entry into the country.

Uganda visas may be obtained at Uganda missions abroad or on arrival at the country’s ports of entry.
 

Visa fees

– Single entry: U$ 50 per individual
– Multiple entry visa 6-12 months U$ 100
– Multiple entry visa 24 months U$ 150
– Multiple entry visa 36 months U$ 200

Nationalities that do not pay for Visa while entering Uganda i.e. nationals of countries that do not pay for Uganda visas
 
COMESA (Angola,Eritrea, Malawi, Madagascar, Seychelles,Swaziland, Zambia, Comoros, Kenya, Mauritius, Zimbabwe)

EAC (Tanzania, Rwanda, Kenya,  Burundi)

OTHERS (Antigua, Barbados, Fiji, Grenada, Lesotho, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, The Grenadines, Vanuatu, Cyprus, Bahamas, Belize, Gambia, Jamaica,
Malta, Singapore, St. Vincent-Tonga)

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND PROCEDURES IN RELATION TO COVID-19 REQUIREMENTS AT ENTEBBE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

 

  1. What are the requirements for arriving passengers to Uganda?

Arriving passengers should hold a negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate issued within 72 hours from the time of sample collection to boarding aircraft leaving country of origin.

 

 

  1. What are the other requirements/arrival process for arriving passengers?
  • All passengers will be required to go through the recommended Port health procedure of identifying body temperature and symptoms.
  •  Please note that the mandatory testing of all incoming passengers at Entebbe International Airport was suspended effective February 16, 2022.

  1. What are the COVID 19 PCR test requirements in relation to children?
  • Children below six (6) years will be exempted from the requirement for a negative PCR test certificate if they are accompanied by parents holding a negative COVID -19 PCR test certificate.

  1. What are the requirements for departing passengers?
  • Passengers departing Uganda through Entebbe International Airport (EIA) must have an authentic negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate issued within 72 hours from the time of sample collection to boarding aircraft. In case the destination country’s PCR test time requirements call for less hours, that takes priority.

  • Passengers departing EIA are required to know, understand, and interpret COVID-19 requirements of the country they are traveling to.

  • All COVID-19 PCR test certificates for departing passengers MUST indicate TRAVEL as the intended purpose of test.
